The Director, Engagement and Orientation APC Tinubu/Shetima Presidential Campaign Council for North Central 2023, Chief Edime Godwin Amade, has called on Nigerians and residents of Kogi State to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for a second term in the 2027 general elections, citing the need for policy continuity and sustained reforms.
Amade stated that the forthcoming elections should focus on consolidating ongoing economic and governance reforms rather than introducing new policy directions. He noted that the Tinubu administration has implemented key measures such as fuel subsidy removal and foreign exchange unification, which he described as necessary steps toward stabilizing the economy and increasing revenue allocation to states.
He also highlighted federal infrastructure projects, including major highway developments and rail revitalization, as evidence of long-term planning, alongside initiatives targeting youth empowerment and the digital economy. According to him, reforms already underway require time to yield full benefits and should not be abandoned midway.
At the state level, Amade commended Governor Ododo’s administration for prioritizing workers’ welfare through regular salary payments and improved conditions for civil servants. He further pointed to efforts in enhancing security, upgrading healthcare facilities, and strengthening the education sector in Kogi State.
The activist emphasized the importance of maintaining alignment between the federal and state governments, noting that such synergy has contributed to ongoing development projects and increased resource flow to the state.
While describing himself as an advocate for accountability, Amade maintained that both leaders have demonstrated commitment to governance and should be supported to complete their policy agenda.
He urged Nigerians, particularly youths, artisans, and farmers, to prioritize long-term stability and development in their electoral decisions ahead of 2027.
