A political realignment is emerging in Kogi State’s Ankpa, Omala, and Olamaboro Federal Constituency as Hon. Muhammed Bakwo has withdrawn his ambition to contest the 2027 House of Representatives seat under the Social Democratic Party (SDP). Instead, he has declared his support for Prince Gowon Enenche.
Bakwo, a native of Omala, described his decision as one driven by the need for unity and collective progress within the Igala community. His endorsement is being viewed as a strategic move aimed at consolidating support and strengthening the party’s chances ahead of the election.
Prince Enenche welcomed the development, expressing appreciation for Bakwo’s gesture and describing it as a demonstration of leadership and commitment to the people. He also reaffirmed his pledge to represent the interests of the constituency and work toward its development.
The move is expected to influence political dynamics within the constituency, with calls for greater unity among stakeholders as preparations for the 2027 elections gradually take shape.
