Iliyasu S. Yahaya,
Abuja – Nigeria

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has formally resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), citing the ongoing crisis within the party’s national leadership. In a letter dated November 4, 2025, addressed to the PDP Chairman in Ward 2, Ede Local Government, Adeleke expressed his gratitude to the party for the opportunities given to him, including his elections as a Senator and Governor of Osun State.

Adeleke’s resignation comes just a day before the PDP was set to hold its governorship primary election, which has been marred by factional crisis. The Governor has not announced which party he will be joining next.
